The Story Behind BHIMSI Foundation

A legacy of compassion and selflessness.

BHIMSI Foundation was established in loving memory of Late Shri Bhimsi Waddar, a humble rural traditional healer from Yatnal Village, Vijayapur Taluk, Karnataka.

Born into a poor family, he dedicated his entire life to serving humanity with compassion, dignity, and selflessness.

At a time when villages had very limited access to hospitals, doctors, ambulances, and emergency medical services, people relied on him during their most difficult moments.

Whether it was a snakebite victim fighting for life, an accident patient needing urgent care, or a poor family struggling with illness, Shri Bhimsi Waddar never turned anyone away. His home became a beacon of hope for countless people.

It was not only his knowledge but his heart. He transformed his home into a sanctuary for the suffering.

Free Treatment

He never charged money for treatment. He provided medicines, guidance, and emotional support entirely free of cost.

He served rich and poor alike with equal care, treating every patient as a member of his own family.

Always Open

He opened his doors day and night to anyone in need. Many patients with serious injuries stayed in his home until they recovered.

As a child, I witnessed my grandfather's extraordinary acts of kindness. I saw families arrive in despair and leave with hope. I saw lives transformed through compassion.

I learned a lesson that would shape my future. After my grandfather's passing, I made a promise to continue his legacy of service and compassion.

That promise became BHIMSI Foundation.
